About Thelma

Hi, I'm Thelma! I'm Irish, originally from Co. Carlow. I've been living in Italy since 2016, but spend a lot of my time at home in Ireland too. Before meeting Alessandro and setting up Sona Weddings together, I worked in Human Resources and then as an English teacher, examiner and translator.

Alessandro and I had so much fun planning our own wedding in Polignano a Mare that we decided to make it our mission to help other couples have their dream wedding too.

I'm Alessandro. I'm originally from the beautiful seaside town of Polignano a Mare in the region of Puglia. I worked in Export Logistics in Dublin for 8 years, only to come back home and meet Thelma here!

We named our company Sona, which as gaeilge means happy. Happiness is at the core of the services we offer and we help deliver the happiest day you could wish for.
